WORKPLACE SAFETY AND HEALTH (WSH) POLICY

1.  Providing safe and heathy working condition by:

  • Committing that safety of employees will be the first consideration in the operation of the business.
  • Providing safe, healthy and secured working environment for all employees, including contractors and suppliers at the company premises, activities of the company and controlled   

equipment.

 

2.  Providing a framework for setting WSH objectives by:

  • Increasing awareness of workplace health and safety in every employee in the company.
  • Installing and promoting safety and security consciousness in every employee in the company.
  • Implementing a system of Safe Management measures at worksites to provide a safe working environment
  • Setting up measurable objectives and targets aimed at controlling higher risk activities.

 

3.  Fulfilling legal requirements and other requirements by:

  • Ensuring each employee should take ownership of all safety outcomes.
  • Ensuring each employee should take personal responsibility to prevent injury to him/her self as well as to fellow colleagues.
  • Ensuring each employee is expected to comply with the safety, health & environment standards as stated in the legislation.
  • Ensuring each employee is adequately trained and familiarise with the relevant statutory requirements, local environmental registrations, code of practices and the company’s safety and Green Practices procedures in order to carry out his/her work safety & environmentally friendly.

 

4.  Eliminate hazards and reduce WSH risks by:

  • Eliminating hazards and minimize safety and health risks, and prevents terror threats to our staff and the public by ensuring control measures are in place and by embracing the SGSecure movement.
  • Taking steps to ensure that safety and security messages are disseminated to all employees, subcontractors as well as all visitors, vendors who are at the work place.
  • Providing adequate and suitable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and apparel to equip the worker in carrying out his work safely.
  • Ensuring equipment and materials are maintained in safe working condition as stated by the manufacturer.
  • Reducing our energy, water and natural resources consumption and waste management.
  • risks of further outbreak contagious virus / epidemic / pandemic e.g. Covid 19, SARS etc.

 

5.  Continual improvement of the WSH management system by:

  • Complying with the Workplace Safety and Health Act and its Subsidiary Legislation and strive for continual improvement of the WSH management system.

 

6. Consultation and participation of workers, and where there exist workers representative by:

  • Commitment to consultation and participation of workers at all levels and functions in the development, performance evaluation and actions for improvement of the WSH management system.
